Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Civil Designer to join our dynamic and growing team in Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Civil, you will play a key role in leading the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, mentoring junior team members, and driving high-quality design outcomes that exceed client expectations.
Specifically:
- Lead the design and documentation of civil engineering projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project inputs to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions.
- Prepare and review civil design models, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business growth opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to designers and engineers within the team.
- Assist with resource planning and workload forecasting to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
- Contribute to sustainable business growth through the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and commercially successful design solutions.
- Manage project risks and apply sound technical and professional judgement throughout the design process.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in civil design and documentation, ideally within land development, infrastructure, urban development, or subdivision projects.
- Advanced proficiency in civil design software such as 12d Model, AutoCAD, and associated design tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the design delivery of complex projects from concept through to detailed design.
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards, local authority requirements, and engineering design principles.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and collaborating with engineers, planners, surveyors, and other project stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proven ability to mentor and support junior designers and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a passion for innovation and technical excellence.
