About the role

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team. The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our commercial real estate properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue rent invoices and manage rent indexations.
• Calculate and prepare invoices for charges and provisions.
• Review provisions and check final charges statements with corporate accounting.
• Verify the ‘share of expenses for tenants’ with Property Managers (PM).
• Manage tenant reminders for charges and landlord reminders for rent and taxes.
• Calculate interest on late payments.
• Manage bank statements for both financial and landlord accounts.
• Book supplier invoices and follow up on supplier reminders.
• Perform VAT control and quality checks upon receipt of documents.
• Process supplier payments.
• Prepare financial reports and reinvoice taxes (real estate, regional, and communal).
• Calculate fees and set up yearly budgets with Property Managers.
• Provide necessary information on budgets to actuals (charges, rent, etc.) to Property Managers.
• Analyze balances and plan agendas, ensuring due dates are respected..
• Participate in internal meetings with the department and team.
• Attend external meetings with tenants and landlords, and respond to client requests and letters.
• Communicate effectively with landlords, tenants, suppliers, and the team.
• Maintain general contact with tenants, suppliers, and landlords.

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience: First experience in property accounting, preferably with a background in commercial real estate.
• Skills: Analytical and communication skills (French and/or Dutch, English ) ; proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netika/Solare IT, Yardi) and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, demonstrating commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive financial performance. Great teamplayer.
