As a Property Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional accounting services to our key Real Estate Management Services clients. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio, ensuring financial compliance, accurate reporting, and seamless client communication. From preparing financial statements and budgets to attending client meetings and driving process improvements, your expertise will help us deliver exceptional value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing accounting functions for a portfolio of commercial properties
- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements and budgets
- Managing lease and tenant invoicing, creditor payments, and cash flow
- Ensuring compliance with Colliers’ policies and financial controls
- Supporting system enhancements and software implementations
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams to meet reporting deadlines
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our REMS Standard Operating Procedures
We are seeking someone who has:
- Proven experience in property accounting or commercial real estate finance
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
- Familiarity with property accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar)
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
