The Colliers Engineering and Design team specialises in civil, infrastructure, water engineering, traffic, waste management & logistics, town planning and urban design. Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction.


Job Description

As a Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering waste management projects from concept through to completion while maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing waste management strategies and technical reports for a range of development projects
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting budgets and deadlines
  • Assessing development proposals against relevant waste management standards and guidelines
  • Providing practical and commercially viable waste solutions for residential, mixed-use and commercial developments
  • Liaising with clients, architects, planners, developers and approval authorities
  • Preparing scopes of work and fee proposals
  • Reviewing reports and providing technical guidance to junior consultants
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support business growth
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture

Qualifications

  • Experience in waste management consulting or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial waste management practices
  • An understanding of development approval processes and relevant industry standards
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • A solutions-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
