Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and solutions‑focused Health & Safety Advisor to join our Auckland team.
In this role, you’ll support both the Occupier Services (OS) and Real Estate Management Services (REMS) divisions, helping embed strong safety practices across a wide range of commercial, industrial, and retail environments.

You'll be the go‑to expert for safety systems, supplier compliance, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives that make a real difference.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, building relationships, and influencing safe behaviors across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enhance health & safety frameworks by refining and implementing policies, processes, and compliance systems across both divisions.
  • Support risk, incident, and compliance management, including investigations, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee supplier and contractor safety performance through audits, pre‑qualification checks, KPI monitoring, and Service Hub assurance.
  • Conduct site inspections and project H&S audits, ensuring safe work practices, effective hazard controls, and correct permit‑to‑work processes.
  • Review technical safety documentation (JSA, SWMS, HITRA) and provide expert training, coaching, and advice to internal teams and suppliers.
  • Champion safety engagement and systems, representing OS/REMS in H&S forums, staying ahead of legislative changes, and optimising platforms like Urbanise and Forsite.
  • Contribution to Real Estate Management Services and Occupier Services H&S committee meetings.

Qualifications

The value you’ll add

  • 3+ years’ experience in a health & safety role
  • Level 4 NZQA Safety qualification (or equivalent)
  • Membership with a recognised H&S body (NZISM, HASANZ, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant NZ legislation and safety frameworks (ISO 45001, AS/NZS 4801)
  • Incident investigation experience
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build relationships with all personality types
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a proactive mindset
  • Confidence with systems, databases, and reporting
  • Full NZ driver’s license and willingness to travel around NZ
