Financial Analyst - Real Estate

Colliers is a leading commercial real estate services company, providing a full range of services to real estate occupiers, developers, and investors on a local, national, and international basis. Services include brokerage sales and leasing (landlord and tenant representation), real estate management, valuation, consulting, project management, project marketing and research. We provide our services across the core sectors (office, industrial, retail and hotel) as well as many specialised property types.

The UK business is headquartered in London, with over 1200 specialists throughout 16 offices across the UK and Ireland.

We are looking for a skilled and commercially focused Financial Analyst to work directly with one of our clients, this exciting new role will be split in two ways which is outlined below: 

• 50% - Financial Analyst
  • Support strategic decision-making and business case preparation;
  • Financial analytics to support options comparison/ own vs lease/ transaction financials/ sensitivity analytics
  • Knowledge and experience of Lease accounting (IFRS)

• 50% Financial Manager as below:
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates for RE projects
  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and financial guidelines.
  • Work closely with the project team to create comprehensive financial plans (Budgets and Forecasts), considering all project phases and potential contingencies
  • Manage PO requisition process.
  • Implement robust cost control measures to track project expenditures against the budget.
  • Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions in collaboration with project teams.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports, presenting key cost-related metrics to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and ensure project financial practices comply with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the whole RE team within the client

• Prior Experience within a Financial Analysis or Client Accounting role.
• Proven experience of delivering commercially focused reports.
• Ability to implement and amend processes to benefit the client.
• proactive and client focused approach.
• Highly organised, with a strong ability to work as part of a team. 
• German speaking is a plus but not essential

• The role will be based outside of London, in either Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham with the ability to travel to Lincoln 1 day per month!
