The Colliers flood risk team are at the forefront of real estate due diligence, creating and utilising pioneering flood risk processes and technology, to advise and help our Clients realise the true value of their assets.
We are looking for the right candidate, with the right skill set to join our dynamic team, helping us to achieve the significant growth plans within the environmental sector into 2025-2026.
- As an Environmental / Flood Risk and SuDS Consultant at Colliers, you are primarily responsible for professional environmental services relating to transactional due diligence and property development.
- You will be required to have experience in managing and preparing Flood Risk and SuDS reports for planning and technical due diligence purposes.
- Bringing your technical expertise, you will evaluate a broad range of environmental factors and communicate findings and risk, in succinct, commercial language tailored to Colliers clients, which include property investors, fund managers, high net worth individuals and developers.
- You will also act as an internal source of technical expertise to other areas of the business from Graduates up to Director level.
- Working closely with the Senior Consultant and Technical Director to support this area of the business, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality of work whilst building and developing successful client relationships.
- The Environmental team is a group of like-minded young professionals. You will receive excellent training and mentoring from industry experts and specialists to shape your career.
Essential:
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Geography, Geology, Geological Engineering, or Environmental Science.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ relevant experience within the industry and in technical report writing.
- Experience in using GIS (QGIS in particular) or CAD.
- Client facing experience.
- Willingness to deal with client enquiries over the telephone and via email and undertake regular consultation with regulatory bodies.
- Experience of consistently delivering a high standard of work in a commercial manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an effective communicator.
- Self-motivated, ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
- Hold a current driving license and be prepared to drive for business purposes on occasion.
- Standard MS Office skills.
Desirable:
- A Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
- Chartered or working towards chartership.
- Business development experience.
- GIS/CAD experience.
- Experience using MicroDrainage/Flow Causeway and Flood Modelling software.
