We seek to appoint a senior executive to be the Director in Charge of our North Sydney Office and continue to lead and build our North Sydney business in line with our national strategy.

As a Real Estate Licensee in Charge the seasoned commercial property expert will assume a pivotal role in leading and managing our (Professional Services & Real Estate Agency's) operations within the legislation and guidelines in New South Wales.

This role requires an expertise in real estate regulations, industry trends, and effective team management which will contribute to the agency's success and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Be a Market Leader, recognised by clients and the industry as one of the best in the profession.
  • Attract and retain great clients for the Colliers North Sydney business.
  • Attract and retain great team members for the Colliers North Sydney business.
  • Recruit Market Leaders to grow market share in the Upper and Lower North Shore.
  • Safeguard our values and be a positive figure who embodies what we stand for.
  • Be the custodian of our brand and an advocate of our marketing practices and external positioning in your geography.
  • Be a proactive communicator, both in public speaking and by being highly visible and approachable in the office, who is responsible for promoting best practice and sharing knowledge.
  • Identify growth opportunities in the North Sydney market region and leverage our expertise for our expansion.
  • Accountable for assisting Managing Directors, State Product Directors and team leaders achieve their goals through collaboration and coordination of the resources within the Office.

Compliance and Regulation

  • Ensure the agency's activities adhere to relevant legislation (Property and Stock Agents Act 2002), regulations (Property and Stock Agents Regulation 2022, guidelines (Supervision Guidelines), codes of conduct, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of NSW real estate laws and regulations and keep the office informed about any changes or updates.

Property Transactions:

  • Oversee property sales and leasing transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal documentation, contracts, and agreements.
  • Provide guidance and support to agents and property managers during negotiations and transactions.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role within the real estate and professional services industry, with a track record of achieving business growth targets.
  • In-depth understanding of NSW real estate laws, regulations, compliance requirements and market dynamics.
  • Possess a valid Class 1 NSW Real Estate Sales & Leasing license and ability to be registered as the Licensee in Charge or already holding a valid NSW Real Estate Licensee in Charge Certificate.
