The EMEA Senior SuccessFactors Engineer plays a critical role in the support and on-going improvement of Colliers SAP SuccessFactors. This role will be responsible for investigating and resolving technical issues, while also ensuring best practice is followed in the forward development, test, and support across Colliers’s SAP landscape. Working as part of a team involving HR SMEs, Finance SMEs, IT Professionals, and 3rd Parties you will help to ensure smooth operation of Colliers IT infrastructure. To be successful you will require strong understanding of both development and operations processes within a cloud environment and will play a critical role across the product lifecycle – from planning, building / configuring, and testing through to deployment and support.
Role Overview and Responsibilities:
EMEA Core SAP Platform (SuccessFactors)
The Senior SuccessFactors Engineer will be primarily responsible for ongoing operation and supporting (or conducting) minor configuration and change requests. Larger or more complex changes / enhancements will be constituted as a project and will be managed in conjunction with the AMS Provider(s). The team will manage a prioritized backlog of enhancements / changes that has been agreed with the SuccessFactors Product Owner. These changes will be taken through a standard Development, Test, Release cycle by the Platform Team involving the AMS provider as appropriate.
· Senior SuccessFactors Engineer will conduct minor fixes, developments / enhancements and activate new features in accordance with an agreed plan / roadmap for delivery into Live Service.
· Responsible for setting systems administration requirements, communication, and system security administration to minimize risk of security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
· Senior SuccessFactors Engineer ensures that HR and Finance systems adhere to organizational processes, policies, local regulations, and guidelines (e.g., authentication system integration, some users have full access to SAP Platform solutions, and others will have more restricted access)
· Senior SuccessFactors Engineer will manage renewals of certificates (e.g., SAP upgrades or SuccessFactors platform and capabilities and acts on release notes, such as changes to SSO authorization token or SSL certificate renewals).
· Investigate & resolve technical issues. Rolling out fixes / upgrades to software, as needed.
· Ensure that Colliers 3-tier environments (i.e., Development; test; production) remain aligned and that any code or configuration changes follow Colliers standard lifecycle approach.
· Update technical documentation to ensure it is kept current and in line with configuration changes made.
· Liaise with SAP core product support (SuccessFactors) as well as the Application Management Service retained to provide expert issue resolution.
· Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
Application Integration Development and Improvement:
Senior SuccessFactors Engineer will be aware of the Colliers wider landscape and manages it including key 3rd party interfaces (e.g., Refresh or synchronize the environment; manage the interfaces between the ERP and SuccessFactors and other 3rd party systems)
· Address technical issues in the in-bound and outbound integration with the SAP Platform
· Actively monitoring for errors on interfaces and working with the broader platform team to resolve technical integration as well as data related errors.
· Liaise with technical counterparts across Colliers EMEA Business ensuring any changes to interfaces are carefully orchestrated to avoid business impact.
· Ensure that Enterprise Data feeds as well as Colliers Identity Management Platform are factored into support activities within the SAP Platform Team.
· Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (using tools such as Jenkins or Git).
· Support on-going improvement / automation of error handling and Colliers’ drive to preventative maintenance.
· Identifying cybersecurity risks and working with Colliers Security Team to take measures to continuously reduce vulnerability to our environment
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
· Support the Head of EMEA Applications COE to report on and to deliver against agreed SLAs with key stakeholders.
· Engage with key stakeholders in EMEA (Finance and HR Leadership; Business Process Owners; in-country Teams / users) on the operation of the platform and future direction. (to ensure a shared roadmap)
· Senior SuccessFactors Engineer will participate in research and development to enable continuing innovation; in other words, s/he is also part of the adoption team and works with other internal and external parties. One of the key roles is at bi-annual release opt-in feature enablement.
· Collaborate closely with the EMEA Enterprise Architecture team to align activities with wider business objectives.
· Provide guidance and support to local teams and external partners involved in supporting the platform and key integrations.
· Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to project stakeholders and senior management.
· Strong organizational skills and a willingness to get fully involved / immersed in improving Colliers IT Services to customers.
Technical Expertise and Troubleshooting:
· Significant experience working with SuccessFactors Core product (Employee Central).
· Possess strong technical knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform integration as well as wider integration technologies, middleware platforms, and APIs. You should be able to demonstrate:
· Experience of delivering integrations using SAP Technology, including Integration Suite, SuccessFactors, etc.
· Ideally having worked with SAP for five to ten years through a combination of implementation and support roles.
· Experience in operating (or helping to establish) a SAP centers of excellence
· Proven experience in application integration, preferably in a complex enterprise environment that spans both a cloud and on-premise landscape.
· Good programming skills in at least one language (JAVA, C, C++) as well as SQL and XML.
· Problem solving mindset. Have a systematic approach to troubleshooting integration issues, identifying root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions.
· Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to SAP and Integration Technologies / best practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- · Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors; SAP Integration Suite; ABAP) are a plus.
- · Familiarity with Agile Development and Test methods (possible certification).
- · ITIL Certification (desirable).
- · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- · Self-motivated and adaptable to a collaborative, dynamic work environment.
