Job Description

As an Urban Planner, you’ll contribute to a wide range of urban development projects—residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and renewables—working alongside experts in planning, design, economics, and engagement.

You’ll support senior planners and project directors across both large-scale and local projects, gaining hands-on experience, growing your technical skills, and deepening your understanding of the Victorian planning system. This is a great opportunity for early-career planners who are passionate about shaping the future of our cities.

Who You Are:

  • A team player who thrives in multidisciplinary environments
  • Eager to grow your knowledge of the Victorian planning system
  • Confident communicator with strong writing and reporting skills
  • Comfortable engaging with clients across private and public sectors
  • Keen to build project management skills and contribute to key deliverables
  • Professional, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • Passionate about collaboration, learning, and sharing knowledge
  • Ready to contribute to a high-performing, future-focused team

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in planning or a related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in urban planning, ideally across residential, commercial, infrastructure or renewables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to contribute to team success
  • Interest in growing project management and technical planning capabilities

We’re committed to supporting our people at every stage of life. Our benefits are designed to promote well-being, balance, and growth—from cost-of-living support to wellness programs and career development. At Colliers, you’ll be empowered to thrive.
