Job Description

Are you an experienced economics and research leader ready to make a real impact? Colliers New Zealand is on the hunt for a dynamic individual to take the helm as our National Director of Economics & Research. This senior leadership role is your chance to drive the growth and success of our research, data and insight’s function, shaping the future of the property industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Inspire and lead our economics and research team to produce top-tier research publications across all commercial property sectors.
  • Market Analysis: Dive deep into market trends, uncover opportunities, and tackle challenges within the property industry.
  • Innovation and Development: Champion innovative research methodologies and leverage cutting-edge tools and technologies to elevate our research capabilities.
  • Research Presentations: Share your insights with the world! Deliver compelling research findings through group presentations, videos, webinars, radio, and television, boosting our industry presence and credibility.
  • Consultancy Leadership: Lead research-based consultancy assignments, providing invaluable insights to our clients.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Forge and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and internal teams.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: A wealth of experience in property, marketing, economics, and/or financial research disciplines, with a proven leadership track record.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, analytical, leadership, and presentation skills. Ability to make complex information clear and engaging.
  • Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of the property industry and economics, with a knack for building key stakeholder relationships.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and a readiness to learn new tools like GIS, Tableau, and Alteryx.
