Job Description

Are you a strategic thinker with a creative spark and a passion for retail marketing? Do you thrive in dynamic environments, love connecting with communities, and know how to make a brand shine?

Hunters Plaza is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our onsite team and lead the delivery of engaging campaigns, events, and building community connections. This part-time position (24 hours per week) is based onsite but does offer flexible working arrangements, allowing you to structure your schedule in a way that best suits your needs.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Craft and execute a strategic marketing plan that elevates the Shopping Centre’s profile and drives asset growth.
  • Lead all aspects of marketing, from campaigns and events to digital strategy, PR, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Deliver school holiday entertainment, community events, and retail promotions that drive foot traffic and sales.
  • Manage the marketing budget with creativity and accountability.
  • Collaborate with design and social media agencies (briefing, managing, and reviewing content).
  • Build strong relationships with retailers, customers, and community stakeholders.
  • Stay connected with marketing managers across NZ to share insights and ideas.
  • Contribute to budgeting, reporting, and long-term planning for the Shopping Centre.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing (or similar).
  • 3+ years of successful marketing experience, ideally in retail.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Mailchimp, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google My Business, and Photoshop or Canva is a plus.
  • Strong content and copywriting skills.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A passionate, self-motivated personality who thrives in a small, collaborative team.
  • Ability to think outside the box and deliver creative solutions within budget constraints.
