Are you a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting high-performing teams? We’re looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our forward-thinking compliance team, based in our award-winning Auckland CBD office.
This role focuses on AML/CFT compliance, and risk management. Reporting to the Compliance and Operations Program Manager, with a dotted line to other teams, you will provide additional support across AML processes, conducting customer due diligence, and maintaining strong compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise workflow management platforms to conduct customer due diligence (CDD/ECDD).
- Review onboarding documentation and verify client identity and beneficial ownership.
- Maintain AML/CFT registers, records, and audit trails.
- Respond to AML-related queries from brokers and clients.
- Conduct quality assurance testing on AML processes and recommend improvements.
- Follow up with clients on missing or adverse information.
- Monitor transactions and manage AML/CFT processes.
- Assess Source of Wealth/Source of Funds documentation for adequacy under the AML/CFT Act.
- Assist with property listings and conduct brand compliance audits.
- Proven experience in a compliance, risk, or AML environment - ideally within the real estate industry.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulatory obligations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- The ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A professional and personable manner, with a positive attitude and the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or law is desirable but not essential.
