Based in either our CBD or Parramatta office and reporting to the Financial Controller, this key role is responsible for producing accurate and timely accounting information for our Corporate Finance team.
You will successfully achieve this by:
- Maintaining and performing daily bank reconciliations.
- Actively working with the team and wider business to perform Accounts Receivable core functions including performing cash allocations, timely clearance of unmatched / unallocated receipts.
- Preparing month end journals for cost and revenue accruals.
- Managing the revenue reporting process and revenue recognition compliance.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reports.
- Understanding of GST and FBT implications of accounting transactions and review correctness of expense coding for account allocation, GST input tax credit and FBT charge.
- Partner with corporate finance team on audit / ad-hoc queries.
To meet the challenge of this busy role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Working towards or completed CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
- Strong Excel skills are required; SUN system experience is beneficial.
