Position Summary

The Senior Data & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI reports and templates. They will also oversee data processes across various teams and use their business analysis skills to ensure requirements are documented, developed, tested and implemented.

Key Responsibilities

Building, administering, maintaining, supporting and enhancing Colliers Power BI dashboards as well as maintaining data in various Microsoft solutions such as SQL Server, Azure, Excel and SharePoint.

Acting as the subject matter expert for users, ensuring improved documentation, user experience and business adoption. This will be accomplished by end user interaction and knowledge transfer;

  • The roles primary focus is developing the Colliers PowerBI Dashboard capability.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting (Power BI) by creating and updating dashboards and reports and analyzing data requirements.
  • Executing PowerBI activities such as user access/security.
  • Build and deploy PowerBI reports.
  • Maintain and improve automation (Power Automate) by creating and updating automation workflows.
  • Taking responsibility for resolution of assigned incidents / service requests across the applications suite.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate training and upskilling for Service Desk and SharePoint Users
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and support other teams with their data requests.
  • Document user requests and change requests to support change management and quality control.
  • Monitor and investigate data issues reported by other teams to understand their causes and take measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Run and analyze data integrity reports to identify root causes of data quality issues.
  • Document reporting and business systems processes and identify improvement opportunities to facilitate effective data management and systems operation.
  • Monitor performance to ensure data quality and consistency and to provide accurate reports across the account.

Qualifications

Core Competencies & Role Requirements

  • Tertiary Degree or Certificate in Computer Science or Information Technology  
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience within the Information Technology Industry
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in PowerBI Administration and Development with SharePoint Online
  • 3+ years of experience in using SQL server, Azure, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint tools
  • Strong time management skills
  • Good level of knowledge of MS Power platform (Automate, Apps, BI)
  • Ability to elicit requirements from the business in order to provide suitable solutions
  • Strong client-side development experience (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)
  • Good Front End Design Skills to ensure a rich UI & UX
  • Strong oral and written communication and demonstrated abilities in this area
