Safety Officer

Responsibilities 

• Ensure that the Health & Safety policies, standards and procedures set by the company/ client and in relation to the site operations and all its activities.
• Provide advice to the project site team on Health, safety and environmental issues.
• Monitor statutory compliance by carrying out regular inspections and auditing the construction site
• Assist with the project team in risk identification, evaluation and development of safe work procedures.
• Assist in HSE training and awareness to staff, operatives and contractors, ensure training needs are identified and implemented.
• Undertake regular inspection and prepares a quantitative report for submittal to the contractors project manager and the synergy project in charge of site.
• Report immediately to the contractor’s senior management of any serious safety breaches that place workers in potential life threatening situations.
• Advise the requirements for site welfare and carry out regular inspections of the facilities reporting any concerns to the contractor’s project manager.
• Conduct him professionally at all times and ensure that the advice he gives employer is to the best of his ability.
• Undertake the lead role in all accident investigation and ensure that a written investigation report is provided to H&S for all reportable accidents.
• Ensure site safety meeting are held regularly and results recorded.
• Assist with the establishments and maintenance of emergency preparations and response plan.

1. Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in engineering
2. Diploma in safety from reputed institutes
3. Must have minimum 5+ years of experience in the relevant field.
