Portfolio Manager
Sydney, Australia
At Colliers, we are enterprising. What sets us apart is not what we do, but how we do it. Our people are passionate, take personal responsibility and always do what’s right for our clients, people and communities. We accelerate their success by empowering them to think and act differently to drive exceptional results.
With circa 9,000 experts in Asia Pacific, our enterprising culture and decentralised operating model allows us to act with speed in local markets, seizing opportunities to innovate and accelerate the success of our clients and our people.
Our collaborative culture sets us apart. We help experts become true specialists and provide the long-term structure and platform to accelerate their success.
We’re looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager to take the lead in managing Colliers’ corporate office spaces across Australia. This is a key role that blends strategy, commercial insight, and stakeholder engagement to ensure our national footprint supports the business now and into the future.
You’ll be responsible for making sure our office portfolio is aligned with business goals, cost-effective, and delivers a great experience for our people. From lease strategy and financial oversight to planning and partnerships, you’ll be at the centre of decisions that shape how and where we work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead national portfolio strategy, including footprint optimisation and market positioning.
- Manage leasing activities—negotiations, renewals, exits, and acquisitions.
- Conduct portfolio analysis and scenario planning to support decision-making.
- Oversee financials including rent, outgoings, and capital expenditure.
- Commercial review of utilisation across all sites, including deployment of subleasing strategies for excess capacity.
- Present scenarios, recommendations and business cases to decision makers for review and sign off.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align property decisions with business and cultural goals.
- Build strong relationships with landlords, agents, and advisors.
- Ensure compliance with lease obligations, governance, and WHS standards.
- Lead strategic projects including workplace transformation and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to inform strategy.
What You’ll Bring:
- Extensive experience in corporate real estate, portfolio management, or commercial leasing.
- Strong understanding of lease strategy, financial modelling, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confidence in influencing senior leaders and driving strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lease management platforms (e.g., MRI).
- Degree in Property, Business, or related field (MBA desirable).
We foster an environment in which everyone at Colliers feels respected and comfortable bringing their authentic selves to do their best work. It’s our people who set us apart and we actively recruit people who represent the diversity of the communities in which we operate. We take great pride in doing what’s right and operating in ways that benefit the business, our people, our clients, our communities, and the environment.
Experts join experts, and we welcome you to join us as we lead the industry into the future.
Please apply with your CV or call Lydia Masterson on 02 9257 0357 for more information.
Please be advised that applications will only be accepted directly rather than via recruitment agencies.
