  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of daily operations including building maintenance, security, cleaning, and landscaping.
  2. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance activities.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and potential risks. Take appropriate corrective measures as needed. 
  4. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to optimise building performance and minimise downtime. 
  5. Collaborate with the Facility Management team to monitor and manage utility consumption, waste management, and sustainability initiatives
  6. Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.

Client and Tenant Relations:

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing their concerns, inquiries, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Foster positive relationships with tenants, maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
  3. Conduct regular meetings with tenants to address their needs, provide updates on building operations, and gather feedback on services provided.
  4. Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and renovations, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.

Financial Management:

  1. Assist in the preparation and management of the annual operating budget for the building.
  2. Monitor and control expenses within budgetary guidelines, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
  3. Review and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual obligations.

Emergency Preparedness and Risk Management:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response procedures, including fire safety, evacuation plans, and disaster recovery plans.
  2. Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure all staff members are prepared to handle emergency situations effectively.
  3. Identify and assess potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them.

We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the efficient operation of a prestigious commercial building in Milton Keynes.

The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients while ensuring the building is maintained to the highest standards


Qualifications

 

  1. Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Proven experience in building management, preferably in commercial properties.
  3. Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and relevant regulations.
  4. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, clients, and staff members.
  6. Proficient in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
