This is an exciting opportunity to join our Queensland Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team and work on a commercial portfolio located on the Gold Coast, as part of a mixed-use precinct. This position would suit someone who has previously worked in a commercial office facilities management environment with experience in Building Management Statements - shared services and areas. This role is based on site from the Commercial Management Office.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the commercial and car park assets, plant, and equipment to ensure optimal asset performance, efficiency, life cycle planning and functionality.
- Drive best practice by collaborating, managing, and administering the Colliers - Nationally driven comprehensive compliance program, particularly in regards-to risk management for critical site operations, it’s occupants and processes.
- Manage the relevant budget expenditure for the commercial and car park assets in collaboration with the Commercial Body Corporate committee.
- Negotiate maintenance contracts, facilitate, and manage services tenders, provide expenditure and performance data for regular monthly and quarterly reporting requirements to clients.
- Actively maintain compliance with regard-to OH&S obligations, completing audits and reviews as required by Colliers, the client and the relevant legislation
- Support the Commercial Body Corporate committee with regards to their responsibilities and involvement in the CMS/BMS.
To excel in this position, you will ideally have:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills and the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders including tenants, clients, body Corporate committees and contractors.
- Good problem-solving skills and able to resolve issues quickly and autonomously
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional certifications (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of industry best practice, sustainability, and legislative compliance
- Good building services operational and technical knowledge and risk management experience
